Window replacement in traditional timber alternative window

This client found our website from outside the local area. They wanted to replace their windows which were in poor condition but were anxious to enhance their property visually at the same time. We carried out a home visit & brought examples of standard PVCu windows & also the timber alternative window. The client preferred the look of the timber alternative window as it matched their traditional décor internally & complemented the property externally as the surface mounted astragal glazing bars & the grained effect PVCu are virtually indistinguishable from timber.

As the property faced a main road, we suggested that the client may benefit from Stadip silence acoustic laminate glass to help further reduce traffic noise. They took this option to the front windows & the results were impressive.

The right choice of windows can really enhance a property & the client was very pleased with the finished results. The ‘monkey tail’ traditional style handles helped complete the look.

The impact that windows have on the overall appearance & age of a property can be very striking. See below this property next to the neighboring property. Both are 1960’s built ex local authority houses but the addition of a traditional porch & replacement of the windows  makes the property on the right appear much  more interesting architecturally.
